Prospective/New Running Start Students Fall 2010 - Registration deadline for fall 2010 is noon Sept. 10.
Classes that would fulfill most students' high school graduation requirements are now full at Pierce College. We strongly encourage you to meet with your high school counselor regarding your high school schedule.
Please remember that the goal of the Running Start program is to work on high school graduation requirements. If you are not able to do that at Pierce College, we hope you continue working on your requirements at your high school.
Also, please consider participating in Running Start during winter quarter. Simply contact the Running Start offices in October to make an appointment for winter quarter registration. Winter quarter registration for new students will start Nov. 30 (by appointment only). Winter quarter classes begin Jan. 3.
Please contact your local Running Start office if you have questions.
Running Start is a program that gives eligible high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to take college-level classes and earn high school and college credit tuition free. Students can enroll part-time or full-time at the college. They can take courses numbered 100 and above and up to 18 credits each quarter. Most courses are 5 credits and a full-time credit load is 15 credits. The Running Start program is available during the fall, winter and spring quarters only (not available during the summer).
