You must have access to a computer, have an email account and be comfortable using the internet. Proficiency with current versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is also required.
INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING
Whether you look at project management as an opportunity for career advancement or a way to more effectively complete projects, Introduction to Project Management and Planning provides the foundation by covering the framework, terminology and concepts for project management. The course will cover how a project gets initiated and best practice techniques that make sense in the real world of business and industry. The course will provide the knowledge and techniques to build a project plan, including defining your project scope, schedule, cost, quality and risks; developing a work break down structure (wbs), sequence work activities, estimates and developing a schedule. Exercises and group activities are used throughout the program so you can apply your new skills in project initiation and planning.

Check out our teacher bios here, see samples of their artwork and if you are thinking about teaching yourself, see what's required to propose a class and teach for Continuing Education.
Bulletin Changes
Pierce College makes a reasonable effort to provide accurate information about classes in printed publications and on the website (and we spend hours proofing each entry). However, the College reserves the right to make appropriate changes in instructors, procedures, policies, calendars, requirements, programs, courses, rooms and fees. Inclement Weather Announcements
In the event of severe weather conditions (I can't believe I am already talking about this), a delay in class start
times or class cancellations are made on a site by site
basis. Although the main campuses may be open, off-site conditions may require
us to cancel classes at other locations. Continuing Education staff will make every effort to notify students of closures and try to schedule make-up classes if rooms and instructors are available. Whenever possible, we put closure information on our general information lines for Continuing Education programs at (253)840-8452 and (253)964-6600. Closure information can also be found at:
